Falcon Running Camp 2008

Founded in 1960, the Falcon Running Camp is the longest continuing program of its kind in the nation. During the past 48 years, hundreds of runners of all ages have enjoyed covering the wooded trails, open fields and endless beaches of Seattle Pacific University's Casey Campus on Whidbey Island. Many have returned again and again to test "the ridge" and run off into an evening sunset. We hope you'll take the opportunity to run at Casey too.

  • Camp Dates: One resident session, July 20-25
  • Program: Two formal training sessions each day for junior and senior high campers. The morning is a special time of camaraderie. The afternoon session focuses on technique and racing strategy.
Daily teaching and discussion sessions address such topics as schedule building, mental preparation, injury prevention, nutrition, strength and flexibility training, motivation, cross training and race preparation. Housing/Meals: Camp participants are housed in clean and comfortable barracks with two-person room or team space options. Meals are served in a separate dining facility. The all-you-can-eat food is expertly prepared.
