KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Seattle Pacific senior Jocelyn Charette garnered second-team accolades on the NCAA Division II women's soccer All-America team that was released Thursday by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

The Falcons forward was the 2009 Great Northwest Athletic Conference player of the year. She led the league in scoring with 37 points on 15 goals and seven assists.

Charette ranks seventh among GNAC career scorers with 87 points, a figure that places her third among all-time SPU players. That is not the only category that Charette is among the Falcons' career leaders. She ranks third with 31 goals, second with 15 game-winning goals and fourth with 25 assists.

A product of Curtis High School in University Place, Wash., Charette registered three hat tricks this season. She accounted for seven of the team's 16 game-winning goals.

Charette led the Falcons to a 16-3-2 record and the GNAC championship. They participated in the NCAA Tournament for the seventh consecutive year.

This marks the seventh straight season a Seattle Pacific player has received All-America acclaim. The Falcons won the 2008 NCAA championship led by first-team All-American Meredith Teague, the national player of the year. Shannon Oakes was a second-team selection last season.
