SPOKANE, Wash. –
Megan Lindsay, who tallied three goals during a pair of 3-0 home victories, received the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week women's soccer award on Monday for the second time this season.
The sophomore forward scored two goals, including the game-winner, in Thursday's win over Western Oregon that clinched the GNAC championship.
Lindsay (Spokane, Wash./Gonzaga Prep) registered a goal and an assist on Saturday as SPU notched its seventh consecutive win by defeating Saint Martin's. She leads the Falcons with 10 goals, including seven in the last five outings.
The Falcons (14-1-2) captured their second straight conference crown and the seventh in nine years. They have a 11-1-1 league record with a 34-point total is eight more than second-place Montana State Billings (8-3-2).
Lindsay, who shared the weekly award with Western Oregon's Kym Witmer, was also recognized by the GNAC on Oct. 18. Three other Falcons have been recipients of the Player of the Week award this year; senior goalkeeper

The 13th-ranked Falcons complete the regular season at home on Saturday, Nov. 6 against Central Washington. Kick-off is 1 p.m. at Interbay Stadium.
The SPU women have already secured their eighth straight NCAA Division II Tournament berth. They were listed No. 2 in last week's West Region rankings with the top-two seeds earning the right to host first- and second-round playoff games.
