SEATTLE -- The Seattle Pacific women's soccer team embarks on an ambitious five-game spring schedule during the month of April and first day of May. Three of the games are against NCAA Division I opponents.
The spring slate begins at home on Saturday, April 10 against Trinity Western University. Kick-off is 2 p.m. at Interbay Stadium, where the Falcons will play two other spring contests.
SPU concludes the spring session with a pair of home games, on Wednesday, April 28 at 7 p.m. against the Seattle Sounders Women and Saturday, May 1 at 3 p.m. against Oregon State.
The home games sandwich a pair of road outings. The Falcons visit Portland State on Saturday, April 17 at 3 p.m. On Wednesday, April 21 the SPU women travel across town to meet Washington at Husky Soccer Field. That game starts at 7 p.m.
The spring schedule prepares the Falcons for the upcoming fall campaign. Last season, SPU won the Great Northwest Athletic Conference championship with a 9-2-1 record. The Falcons, who were ranked No. 1 for six weeks, registered a 16-3-2 record in 2009 and participated in the NCAA Division II Tournament for the seventh straight season.
