ARCATA, Calif. – Courtney Hollander had career highs of 13 points and 13 rebounds for her first college double-double, and Stacey Lukasiewicz dished out a career-high eight assists on Saturday as Seattle Pacific concluded an opening-weekend sweep at the West Region Challenge women's basketball tournament by routing Fresno Pacific on Saturday afternoon, 89-43.

The Falcons (2-0) breezed through their two games in Lumberjack Arena by a combined margin of 70 points. On Friday, they led from wire to wire in beating host Humboldt State, 82-58.

For the second straight day, SPU had four players score in double figures. Sophomore guard Jordan McPhee (Normandy Park, Wash. / Mount Rainier HS) tallied 12, and was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. Lukasiewicz (Colorado Springs, Colo.) added 11, and junior forward / guard Hannah Rodrigues (Eugene, Ore.) also scored 11.

Sophomore guard Hollander (Lynden, Wash. / Lynden Christian HS) beat her previous scoring high of 10 points, set last Nov. 22 against Azusa Pacific. Her previous best on the boards was the nine she pulled down in Friday's victory against Humboldt State.

Her double-double was Seattle Pacific's first since last Jan. 31, when now-graduated Aubree Callen went for 20 points and 10 rebounds in a victory against Western Washington.

Hollander joined McPhee on the five-player All-Tournament team.

After trailing twice early in the game, the Falcons took complete command. Down 14-9 late in the first quarter after a 10-0 run by Fresno Pacific, SPU ran off nine straight points to go up 18-14. That was part of a 23-2 surge that produced a 31-16 lead late in the half.

It was 39-21 at the break, and after scoring the first 11 points of the third quarter, the lead never dipped below 20 the rest of the day.

Seattle Pacific shot an even 50 percent for the day, hitting 33 of 66. That included 50 percent (10 of 20) from behind the 3-point arc. Hollander buried 5 of 9, and Lukasiewicz hit 4 of 5.

Of the 33 field goals, the Falcons earned assists on 26. Of the 11 players who saw action, 10 of them had at least one assists.

SPU dominated the boards, 49-26. In addition to Hollander's 13, McPhee grabbed seven, and Rodrigues came up with six.

Megan Lee led Fresno Pacific (0-2) with 13 points. But the Sunbirds struggled against Seattle Pacific's defense, hitting just 30.9 percent (17 of 55). They were just 3 of 16 (18.8 percent) from downtown.

A stretch of November road games continues next weekend at the West Regional Crossover Classic in Azusa, Calif. The Falcons take on UC San Diego on Friday, Nov. 20, at 3:00 p.m., then face host Azusa Pacific on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
