SEATTLE – Five stellar student-athletes that recently graduated from high school have committed to attend Seattle Pacific University and play men's soccer, Coach Mark Collings announced.

The list of signees includes three local standouts from the Puget Sound area, two of them that played their club soccer for Crossfire Premier FC. Jacob Bohl is a midfielder from Bonney Lake High School and defender Luke Postma prepped at Bellevue Christian High School.

Completing the local trio is midfielder Michael Duvall, a product of Renton's Liberty High School who played his club soccer for Eastside FC.

The Falcons made rare forays into distant states to land a pair of dynamic defenders. Parker Conaway played at Volcano Vista High School in Albuquerque, N.M. He clubbed for Rio Rapids SC and was the NSCAA (coaches association) New Mexico Player of the Year.

Andrew Ivaldi comes to SPU from Penn High School in Mishawaka, Ind. He starred on the club circuit with Indiana Invaders FC.

"We're really happy with our recruiting class for 2015. We're adding five young men that really want to be at SPU," exclaimed Collings, who directed the Falcons into the NCAA Tournament in each of the last four seasons.

"I'm really proud of our current team and the culture that they've established at SPU. This new group of student-athletes will continue the trends that have been established and allow us to reach new heights with our program.  They're good students and great young men."

The five newest Falcons will soon begin their collegiate careers with training camp to prepare for the Sept. 3 home opener. They join an SPU team that registered a 16-2-2 record last season, won the Great Northwest Athletic Conference championship and advanced to the West Regional final of the NCAA playoffs. In the process, SPU established a new school record with a 13-game winning streak.

Two seniors departed from last year's team, leaving the squad with nine returning starters.

6268JACOB BOHL
Midfield, 5-11, 160, Bonney Lake, Wash.
(Bonney Lake HS/Crossfire Academy)

Jacob Bohl was a captain and three time state champion with WPFC before being selected to the USSDA Crossfire Academy. He currently plays club soccer alongside SPU signee Luke Postma. As a sophomore, Bohl helped Bonney Lake High School to a state-championship season with six goals and eight assists.  This helped him garner an all-league selection in the SPSL.  Along with soccer, Jacob was on the high school cross country team his freshman through junior year and earned all-league honors his final year.

Coach Collings on Jacob Bohl
"I first saw Jacob play for WPFC and Bonney Lake and knew he had a massive upside. It's been great watching him develop as a player with Crossfire Academy and we couldn't be more excited to get him into the SPU team. He currently plays in the back for Crossfire, but he has the ability to play in multiple positions, which is something that really excites us. I look forward to seeing him develop over the years."

6266PARKER CONAWAY
Defender, 5-10, 150, Albuquerque, N.M.
(Volcano Vista HS/Rio Rapids SC)

Parker Conaway currently plays club soccer with Rio Rapids SC. They are a five-time state championship team. Conaway also contributed to Volcano Vista High School with eight goals and two assists, which led to first-team all-state selection three years in a row (2012, 2013, 2014). Along with the all-state selection, Parker was selected as NSCAA Player of the Year for New Mexico along with NSCAA All-Far West Region Team.

Coach Collings on Parker Conaway
"Parker has garnered some great accolades in New Mexico. He will instantly add depth to our backline   and we are thrilled to have someone with his championship pedigree. His athleticism and determination will allow him to play anywhere along the back four for us. Another thing that really stuck out to us were Parker's great soccer instincts."

6264MICHAEL DUVALL
Midfielder, 5-10, 150, Renton, Wash.
(Liberty HS/Eastside FC)

Michael Duvall currently plays club soccer at Eastside FC. He participated in the National League in 2014 and 2015. Also, Eastside won the Far West Regional League, State Cup and lost in the Region IV semi-finals in 2014. With Liberty High School, Duvall accumulated six goals and 12 assists and received all-league honorable mention accolades.

Coach Collings on Michael Duvall
"We're really excited about Michael. He peaked my interest having seen him multiple times with his club team, Eastside FC. We were thrilled that he came to two of our camps and we soon realized his quality and potential.  Michael is technically sound and has a great feel for the game. He has the skills necessary to help dictate the rhythm of the game for us."

6267ANDREW IVALDI
Defender, 6-1, 170, Mishawaka, Ind.
(Penn HS/Indiana Invaders FC)

Andrew Ivaldi currently plays club soccer with Indiana Invaders FC. In 2013, they won the Nike Academy Showcase and were runners up in the State Cup. The following year, the Invaders were able to win State Cup and advance to the semifinal of the Super Y League. Ivaldi also contributed to Penn High School with 19 goals and 25 assists, which lead to Team MVP and a first-team all-conference selection in 2014. He thrives in leadership as well and was captain of both his club and high school teams.

Coach Collings on Andrew Ivaldi
"Outside of being a very good and intelligent player, Andrew is a tremendous student and leader with a laundry list of academic awards. I feel that he is the total package for SPU and will be a great fit both on and off the field. The first time I saw Andrew play was as a central midfielder, which he may still end playing for us because he has good feet, but it seems like his natural position is center back. He looks very comfortable there and is great communicator."

6269LUKE POSTMA
Defender, 6-1, 165, Bellevue, Wash.
(Bellevue Christian HS/Crossfire Academy)

Luke Postma currently plays under Coach Ralph Black at Crossfire Academy along with SPU signee Jacob Bohl. Only playing his freshman year at Bellevue Christian High School, Postma was able to compile one goal and 10 assists, while helping the defense register five shutouts. This helped him garner Freshman of the Year and All-Emerald City League awards. With Crossfire Academy, Luke has been a stronghold defensively, starting 76 out of 78 games through the last three seasons and making academy playoffs for two of those seasons. Outside of soccer, he enjoys time with family, biking and photography.

Coach Collings on Luke Postma
"Luke is ready to contribute to our team right now. His work ethic, ability to tackle and communication skills will be a welcome addition to our backline. Luke's tactical understanding and athleticism will give him an opportunity to play multiple positions on the field. He embodies everything we look for in a student-athlete."
