PORTLAND, Ore. – Courtney Hollander, who led Seattle Pacific in scoring and rebounding last season, and Jordan McPhee, the No. 2 Falcon in both of those departments, have been named to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference preseason all-conference women's basketball team.
 
Hollander (Lynden, Wash. / Lynden Christian HS), a 6-foot junior forward, averaged 12.8 points and 8.1 rebounds last winter and was a unanimous selection of the 11 conference head coaches. She had eight double-doubles. Hollander also joined SPU's all-time top-10 list of best free throw shooters. She hit 65 of 80 last season (.813) and has drained 85 of 104 in her career (.817).
 
McPhee (Normandy Park, Wash. / Mount Rainier HS) is a 5-10 junior guard. She averaged 11.7 points and 6.0 rebounds last year, with one double-double. She also had a team-leading 43 steals. Like Hollander, McPhee put her name onto the SPU top-10 free throw list. She was 79 of 102 (.775) and is 108 of 139 (.777) for her career.
 
Both were on the All-GNAC honorable mention list at the end of last season.
 
The preseason all-conference team is comprised of the top 15 players in the coaches' voting.
 
Alisha Breen of Montana State Billings was chosen as the Preseason Player of the Year.

Seattle Pacific opens the season on Saturday with an exhibition game at Seattle University. Tip-off in the Connolly Center is at 4:00 p.m.
