SEATTLE -- The Seattle Pacific Falcons needed just the first day of the new indoor track and field season to make their presence felt -- both in the school record book and on the NCAA entry list. Suffice to say the Falcons are primed to see how much better they can be in this week's UW Invitational now that they’ve had an additional two weeks of practice.

SEATTLE (Jan. 19) – The Seattle Pacific women’s distance medley relay team of Jane Larson, Crystal Sims, Lisa Anderberg and Jessica Pixler, along with Falcons men’s distance star Chad Meis, have earned their respective Great Northwest Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week awards for indoor track and field.

SEATTLE -- For Chad Meis, it was a speedy return to the indoor track. The Seattle Pacific senior, who did not compete indoors last winter in order to focus on outdoor training, broke the school record for the mile on Saturday afternoon, clocking a 4:11.39 in the season-opening UW Indoor Preview.
